Introduction to Ophthalmology Department
Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital’s Ophthalmology Department is the main referral centre for eye conditions in Malawi. It also serves as an academic training centre for Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Mzuzu University and Malawi College of Health Sciences.
It offers specialty training in Ophthalmology, as well as training of undergraduate medical students, ophthalmic clinical officers, optometry technicians, optometrists, cataract surgeons and nurses.
